Smart Filters: getting started

Shoppers narrow your shop by size, colour, price and more, and see how many products match before they click.

1. Choose the filters

Go to WooCommerce → Smart Filters. Under Filters, tick what shoppers can filter by:

  • Any product attribute, such as size, colour or material
  • Categories, brands and tags
  • Price range
  • In stock, and on sale

Every option shows how many products match, and long lists get a search box.

2. Put the panel on the shop page

The easiest way: under Placement, tick Put the filters above the products for me. Or place it yourself:

  • Block editor: add the Product Filters block.
  • Sidebar: add the Smart Filters widget.
  • Elementor: drag in the Product Filters widget (in the CodeBold group).
  • Anywhere else: paste the shortcode [codebold_filters].

On a phone, the panel becomes a Filter button that opens it.

3. Make it look right

Under Appearance, choose how options look (colour dots, boxes or checkboxes) and whether the panel matches your theme. The Preview shows the result as you change it.

Smart Filters makes no request to any outside server. Your shop's data stays on your website.
